The weather this year on North Uist has been spectacular and we were lucky to have stunning weather on our ferry crossing from Oban to Castlebay on Barra.
The scenery looked stunning and the sea was calm and deep blue in colour. We had 4 separate sightings of dolphins on the trip - some of them came very close to the boat. There seemed to be smaller, younger dolphins within the largest pod.
They are so quick they are hard to photograph but I managed to get a short clip to share with you in the video below.
